Overview
The safari herein is an opportunity for visitors to exploit Kenya’s national parks and game reserves starting from Nairobi city. It is a wildlife exploration adventure which involves watching birds at the famous Lake Nakuru, Big Five in the Masai Mara and marveling at the bi-annual migration of wildebeests and zebras if you happen to visit in the right season. The trip goes deep into the Amboseli game reserve in the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro close the boarder of Tanzania.

Itinerary in detail
Day 1. Nairobi-Kenya
Our professional guide from the company will meet you at Jomo Kenyatta International airport and drive you to any hotel of your choice around Nairobi city. You will spend a night here in preparation of the next day.
Day 2. Transfer to Lake Nakuru national park
Before starting your journey to the magnificent Lake Nakuru national park, bless your lips with a delicious and you will be given a briefing of the next six days so that you can be able to prepare in advance.
You will then setoff for Nakuru through the scenic sceneries and spectacular vegetation. Drive through the park and check in the lodge of your choice from where you will spend a night.
The park lies on the floor of the great lift valley and is a potential animal viewing area. Lake Nakuru national park’s landscape is characterized by rocky escarpments and a number of acacia forests which act as habitats for a number of animals such as white rhinoceros, endangered Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, hippopotamuses, flamingo birds, to mention but a few. The lake is also characterized by abundant algae in its soda ash.
Are you passionate about watching birds such as fish eating pelicans, cormorants and flamingos? Lake Nakuru national park is the best destination that will have you fulfill your dreams in a blink of eye since it has over 400 species.
It is in the afternoon hours after you are done with lunch that you will embark on the safari excursion in search of the birds and animals for the first time in the park.
Make a return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation in preparation for the next day. You can spend the evening hours in company of fellow guests before going to sleep.
Day 3. Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara National Reserve
As soon as you are done with breakfast, you will have to bid farewell to Lake Nakuru national park and travel via the Great Rift Valley and rural areas as you make your way to Masai Mara Game Reserve. On your way to the reserve you will meet Masai warriors wearing red robes as they graze their livestock along the road.
Before going for the afternoon game drive, you will have lunch as soon as you enter the park. Continue and be part of the exciting game drive and bless your eyes with the Big Five namely; the buffalo-weaver, leopard-tortoise, the elephant-shrew, Ant-lion and rhino-beetle. Here chances of seeing the Big Five are higher than those of seeing the Small Five. The park is as well famous for having a multitude of migratory birds.
When the sun goes down, make your way to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight.
Day 4. Masai Mara game drive and culture
The fourth day of this safari is entirely dedicated to exploring Masai Mara which starts as soon as you get done with your breakfast.
There is an option of paying a visit to the local villages which is a great opportunity for you to interact with the Masai people as you enjoy their cultural presentations. Dare not to miss interacting with the “Morans” – the young Masai men trained as soldiers to protect their communities against attacks. The young men in this culture must first kill a lion as a rite of passage into manhood.
Traditional dances performed by men and women welcome you to the visit, after which you will be led by a guide via the villages as you interact more with these people and get to know of their traditions, beliefs and daily rituals. The rituals involve ways of making fire using sticks and animal dung. You stand high chances of getting gifts from these local villagers at the end of your trip.
Embark on the afternoon safari as soon as you are done with lunch and see a number of wildlife in the endless plains of the park. Here is an opportunity for you to have a glance at the Big Five.
Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight in the late afternoon.
Day 5. Masai Mara hot air ballooning
If you happen to rise early in the morning, you will be able experience a spectacular game viewing adventure from a unique perspective. Embark on the morning hot air balloon safari above the Masai Mara at a relatively cheap cost lasting for an hour. It is here that you will enjoy views of the park plains, forests and rivers. You will immediately have breakfast as soon as you land.
The park presents you with an opportunity to watch over 450 bird species within the park.
Return to the camp in the afternoon for relaxation.
Day 6. Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha
Having finished your breakfast at Masai Mara, embark on the 244 kilometer road to Naivasha located in the Great Rift Valley famous for freshwaters.
You can choose to relax or explore the outside picturesque area upon arrival at your accommodation area. You will join the guide for an afternoon boat tour and watch animals such as hippopotamuses, waterbucks and several bird species.
Day 7. Return to Nairobi and departure
Welcome your last day of the safari with either a cup coffee or tea in company of clear views with beautiful sunrise along the shores of Lake Naivasha. As soon as you are done with breakfast, embark on the journey to Nairobi city with stopovers at the Great Rift Valley where you will take as many pictures as your cameras can store.
The driver will drop you at Jomo Kenyatta airport from where you will get a flight back home and come to the climax of this spectacular seven-day Kenya safari.
