Tour Overview
Now is the time to reunite with our cousins the gentle Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat in the Continent of Africa. It is a 3-day Gorilla trekking safari to the Pearl of Africa-Uganda; home to half of the world’s endangered mountain Gorilla population at Bwindi. You will track the gorillas in any of the four sectors of Bwindi impenetrable national park; a habitat to the largest concentration of individual mountain gorilla numbers.
Other activities include visiting the Batwa community, photography at the Equator, and an operational guided nature walk. Time management is paramount, whereas accommodation must be at the sector of the activity. The trip starts and ends at Entebbe international airport.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Cultural Tour (Batwa)
You will wake up to a very early morning energizing cup of Coffee; thereafter go to the park headquarters for registration and a pre-trekking briefing by experienced park rangers. The ranger guides are custodians of this park and so they will narrate for you the life of the Gorillas; the trekking dos and don’ts, and then assign a maximum of eight people to a gorilla group to track.
The trekking exercise is done on foot deep in the jungle, as the ranger guide follows where the apes were last seen the previous day, and then through the hilly terrain, and lush plants. The search exposes one to a variety of plants, birds, and primates.
Depending on how far the apes have moved, and your pace; tracking the Gorillas may last for over 1-7 hours, plus an additional hour for photography, making inquiries and watching poses of the gentle silverback. Thereafter have a Lunch Break; followed by a visit to the Batwa pygmies; one of the shortest people in the world, and former hunters and gatherers in the Bwindi Jungle. They narrate Life in the Jungle, dance, and sing their ancient songs. End the day at the lodge with dinner and a peaceful nap.
